2010 Indoor Fall Volleyball Leagues
Good news...the City of Akron Recreation Bureau will once again host indoor volleyball leagues for the fall.
Start recruiting your team and get ready to play!
Coed and women's leagues will be scheduled for Monday thru Thursday evenings at Jennings CLC (227 E. Tallmadge Ave, Akron).
Keep watching for registration forms and additional details.
Leagues will start in mid-September and run 8-9 weeks (7 weeks of league play plus 1-2 weeks of playoffs). Cost will vary based on the league.

Upper Division: Hands will be strict and official USA Volleyball rules will apply. Double contact on 1st ball and serve is allowed.
Lower Division: Double contact will be allowed, but no slop! (hands rule may be subject to referee’s discretion, as long as it’s consistent).

Avon Co-Ed Volleyball League is for adults ages 18 and over. Games will be played at Avon Middle School on SUNDAY evenings.
Game start times are 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 pm. A rule of this league is that three men and three women are on the court at all times.
Cost: $75 per team (Referee fees of $10 must be paid by each team before each match.) ...Space is limited!

Each team will play 9 matches
FALL 2011 session they are limited to the first 8 teams in each division: B - Intermediate, BB - Advanced, A- Competitive
All players must pay LEVA individual fees to be eligible for league play. Individual Fees are $40 for the September 2010 until April 2011 season.
The individual fees are used offset LEVA operating expenses, insurance, clinics, and allows each individual to take responsibility
for the league's well being. We are limited to 8 teams in each division. You do not need to pay these fees if you have already paid in 2010 Fall Session.
Individual fees increase to $45 after 8/30/2011. Paypal is now available online for team registration and LEVA individual player fees
and your portion of the team fees. A full team’s registration will be $325 through Tueday August 30, 2011. After that date, the team fee increases to $375.
Full team fees and individual player fees must be paid in full before
the September 18 start date or you/your team will not be allowed to participate.
For all players the board will work to place you on a B team asssuming that you have paid your Individual Dues for the 2011-2012 season.
If we do place you on a team, you understand that it will be your team's responsibility to find a sponsor or split paying the team fees
(around $50 a person for 6 person team).
You must notify the registrar of your situation by September 4, 2011 and have paid your individual dues and your portion of the team fees
by selecting "B Team Placement" on the payment tab

2011 info: City of Parma Adult Volleyball League for women's leagues, and for coed leagues Recreational Divisons
beginning at 6:30pm......The season is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday October 18, 2011.......Teams will consist of 6 playing participants
Three games will be played per match.....non-resident fee = $10......Entrance Fee = $195 ..... Referee Fees = $10 per team
Forfeit Fee = $40 make check payable to P.A.A.F. (refundable forfeit fee of $36 will be refunded at the conclusion of the season provided there are no forfeits
Team rosters must be completed and returned with entrance fee...team application must be completed and returned with entrance fee
Cards: each player must complete two (2) contract cards with drivers license and have these cards verified and stamped by the Parma Recreation Department
prior to participation in the Parma Volleyball League....Non-resident fees are due upon verification of contract cards.....uniforms are not required

There are limited number of openings in each league....Teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis
If your team is accepted, a mandatory league meeting will be held on Wednesday October 12, 2011 at 6:30pm

Coed 6's volleyball league on Wednesday evenings specifically for "senior" players (males and females 50+ yrs old).
Every player in the league must have had his/her 50th birthday prior to 12/31/2012.
Teams will compete following the same USAV format and rules as Rocky River's other adult volleyball leagues.
The net will be set at regulation coed height. Referees will be used to officiate matches.
Each team will play 10 3-game matches during the regular season. Each match will consist of 3 rally scoring games to 25 points, win by 2, cap at 27. Playoffs will be conducted at the end of the season using single-elimination pool play.
$320 per team entrance fee.
Also, each team is responsible for referee fees of $10 per team, per match (must be paid in cash to your referee prior to each match).

All players must be listed on a current team roster to play.
